Eve is a 2 year old female white standard schnauzer mix that weighs around 15 lbs. She was rescued from a high kill shelter. The pictures show short hair as she’s still growing in from having to be shaved down after being so matted. She's very energetic and loves to run around and play but she will lay down and be a lap dog.She can be extremely possessive of her owner and maybe be an "only" dog or, under the right circumstances, live with another dog that she gets along with. She is not completely potty-trained and her new owner will have to be very diligent about taking her out on a regular schedule setting her up for success. She is Crate trained. She is a barker! True to her breed as a Schnauzer she barks when she hears a sound in the house and she barks when she sees dogs or people on the street. Her bark is not a form of aggression as she is very friendly once she relaxes enough to get to know people. She's very puppy like in that she wants to have human hands in her mouth she likes to bite on people's hands in a playful way. She loves to sleep in the bed with her person. She's very loving, very sweet, very happy, and she is learning to trust a great deal in the past few weeks. She's going to make somebody very happy! We are looking for an adopter in the South Florida area, not far from Pembroke Pines. We want to slowly assimilate into her new family as she has attachment issues from being abandoned. $400 Adoption fee includes immunizations, spay, and microchip.
