Help Panchita and Kiki Beat Parvo
Breed: Rat Terrier
A high kill shelter placed Panchita and Kiki near other Parvo positive dogs in the shelter and the innocent girls were put next on the kill list.
Panchita and Kiki were housed side by side at our county shelter, Miami Dade Animal Services. Both are less than 2 years old, sweet, timid, and were found as strays on the streets of Miami when both taken to our county shelter. While there both were adjacent to a dog that tested positive for Parvo, Panchita and Kiki and ending up catching the virus and were set on a list to be euthanized. These young dogs did not deserve to die for ending up at a county shelter, they deserve to live a long life filled with love and happiness.
Kiki has tested positive for Parvo and we expect Panchita will as well. We will be doing everything possible to beat this and get these girls well. In addition to medical costs, both Panchita and Kiki will be quarantined at our vet to not jeopardize any of our current dogs.
Parvo costs our rescue approximately $1000 per dog plus each dog will need to be quarantined for several weeks at a cost of $15 per day. Please help Panchita and Kiki. Any dollar will help save their lives!

Both Panchita and Kiki have survived parvo and are improving. Both still have a cough and are on antibiotics and both are still in qurantine until they can be placed with other dogs. We have not raised enough to pay off the bills for one dog, let alone two. Each dog has costs us in excess of $1,000 to save them from Parvo, hospitalization for a week, then quarantine boarding and the continuing meds for the cough and upper respiratory infection that developed in the county shelter. Any donation is appreciated as we cannot continue to help dogs without the funds to pay their medical care. Both Panchita and Kiki (once well) will be placed for adoption. Thank you

Please consider making a donation for Panchita and Kiki. Both still remain at the vet and our vet bills have been substantially higher than expected. Thank you.

Panchita and Kiki remain hospitalized. Kiki, who had shown improvement, had labored breathing this morning and was severely congested so she has been hospitalized again. Additional tests were run this morning. She was much better by this evening when this video was done. Panchita is not eating much and also is hospitalized. We are trying to get these girls well so that they can be moved from hospitalized to boarding but continue to have setbacks. We are hopeful that will improve in the next few days and remain stable. Donations are greatly needed. Tomorrow will be one week of hospitalization for them and our bills are quite high. Plus we still need to do quarantine boarding for them both due to Parvo. Thank you for helping Panchita and Kiki.

As of today, 6/28/2017, Kiki is doing better and is eating well. Kiki and Panchita remain at the vet in quarantine as we have no fosters for Parvo. Panchita is not doing as well and we are worried about her. She is not eating even when we brought her people food. She is on an IV and we are hoping to see a turnaround. Please keep these girls in your thoughts and prayers.
