Red is receiving Emergency Care at Northstar Vets in Robbinsville NJ.  Over the last few days Red lost use of his rear legs. He is being evaluated for a Spinal Injury versus an Autoimmune Disease to his joints as they are all swollen.

Red is in a lot of pain and receiving pain medications every 4-6 hours to ensure his comfort.  This sweet senior who LOVES everyone he meets is still wagging his tail and giving kisses in spite of how terrible he feels. Please help us give Red the BEST SHOT at recovering and living out his golden years in comfort and joy, nothing makes Red feel better than meeting new people and old friends.  One Love Animal Rescue is committed to doing whatever we can to give Red every chance for a great future.

Updates

  • Red has his follow up visit tonight at Northstar Hospital with the internist and the PT Dr. He is improving but not back to where he was he can only walk (stumble) for about one minute but better than a 3 week ago for sure. Please continue to help raise funds and share Red's campaign!

  • From barely being able to move in the ICU at NorthStar VETS 2 Weeks's ago to now playing and being able to bear his weight enough to get his first bath in a long time. Red is recovering!!! Thanks to all the well wishes, prayers and donations enabling us to get him the medical care he needed! We WILL continue to get him what he needs. Red is improving but he still has a long road to get back to where he was so he is able to take the walks he loves so much, Red will need laser treatments, physical therapy and he's on a lot of medications.

  • Red* has been home and wants everyone to know all the well wishes sharing and donations have made a huge difference in his life. Red is on his third antibiotic and it looks like we are treating immune mediated poly arthritis disease. Because Red is able to receive the excellent care at NorthStar VETS and supportive care of physical and laser therapy Red is actually taking short little walks (ok it's an "elegant stumble" but it's all him) to go potty and just be outside, something Red really likes to do. Red received this adorable RED wagon from from a super sweet fan of his Carol Gioquindoand because it's too much for him to walk for more than a minute or so he hitches a ride so he can see all his friends in the neighborhood. Red's medications and his care will be an expense that One Love Animal Rescue will work tirelessly to secure. Red is home but his journey is not over.... his work is not done. With your help we will get him walking through the neighborhood in no time. Please if you can we appreciate all the SHARING and CARING for RED. Reds poundWISHES is active and almost half the goal!!

  • **Red's Wagon*** Reds friend Carol  had this adorable red wagon sent to Red so that when he comes home he will have a fun time being outside- something Red loves to do.

Red is still in ICU at NorthStar VETS, he had a procedure done today to tap his joints for fluid to determine if there is bacteria present. Red is on IV pain meds, antibiotics and had 2 acupuncture sessions today. The steroids will start tomorrow and we are hoping and praying they work their magic. Thank you all for your continued support and prayers for Red.
