We need all the prayers, good vibes, and juju tonight! Nine year old Astrid was pulled from the shelter just last night and is currently at the emergency vet for surgery. She went to the vet earlier today for a suspected urinary tract infection, but it turns out she has pyometra (a severe and deadly infection of the uterus), anemia, and hypoglycemia. She won't make it through the night without this surgery, and we are looking at a very minimum of $1800! Please donate what you can to help Astrid pull through. Every little bit helps, even if it's just $5 or 10!
Emergency Medical treatment needed for a deadly uterus infection
Astrid is awake and doing well since her emergency surgery last night. Her foster visited her this morning and said: "Just visited our sweet Astrid. They are monitoring her for anemia and trying to get her to eat. They will be performing a few tests and give us an update in a couple hours. She may have to receive a blood transfusion. But if she improves, we will get to take her home tonight. Fingers crossed!"
