We need 200 people to donate 50 dollars!

  • Breed: Labrador Retriever
  • Name: Help Tucker walk again
  • Color: Yellow
  • Size: Large
  • Sex: Male
  • Age: Adult

Tucker was seen dragging his body around town until he was picked up by Yuba County Animal Care and Services. Wags and Whiskers Pet Rescue in Chico CA pulled this young and playful yellow Lab from the shelter as soon as they could. Gunners wheels generously donated a cart to help Tucker get around.

After many X-rays and consultations, the vet confirmed that he is paralyzed from mid ribs down. He's been taking steroids for 3 weeks and has gained a little movement in his hind legs. The next step for Tucker is getting an MRI at UC Davis to see if he is a candidate for spinal surgery. If the MRI shows Tucker would benefit from spinal surgery, they would do it at that time (since he would already be under anesthesia for the MRI).

Tucker has such great desire to run and play and loves to get up in his wheelchair and go explore. Imagine how limitless he would be if he didn't have to depend on it!

He NEEDS an MRI and surgery. He deserves to live the active life he so badly wants. If 200 people donate 50 dollars each we can schedule his appointment and get Tucker the help he needs!

Please help us raise $10,000 to schedule Tucker's MRI & Spinal surgery! Any amount donated would mean the world to Tucker and help him get that much closer to a wheelchair free life!

  • Tucker's still doing great! He has an appointment Oct 2nd at US Davis. I REALLY hope he is a candidate for surgery!

He's a normal young happy, active dog. He loves to play! He is totally incontinent, but Tucker's worth the clean-up. :)

  • Tucker is doing great. He's getting stronger, lifting his bottom off of the ground now. He's spunky, loves his wheelchair and cruising the house in his drag bag. Please like My Foster Dogs page on Facebook for Tucker updates. https://www.facebook.com/My-Foster-Dogs-452639218427916/

  • Tucker was pulled from the shelter on 7/18/17 and had sores on his knees and feet from dragging his hind end. Thanks to his wonderful support network, he has his very own drag sack to prevent further injuries.
