DESPERATELY SEEKING HELP FOR SICK CATS AND KITTENS SAVED FROM A HOARDER, PLEASE HELP US, SO WE CAN HELP THEM GET HEALTHY AND ADOPTED.
These beautiful, sweet, exotic cats and kittens were brought to Almost Home because they know we are a NEVER-KILL shelter. Yes, they were fortunate to come here because we believe that every single life is precious, anywhere else they would have been euthanized.
Almost Home has stepped up to many agencies that have contacted us regarding Hurricane Harvey and Irma as we could never say no. Now we have this to add to our list, and we are just beside ourselves.
The news did a story today...hoping the hurricane and the sports don't fill our spot as the camera man expressed there is so much happening right now. Fortunately, this guy is a cat and dog person who's heart went out for Almost Home and the kitties. He asked us what are immediate needs are to help these cats. Just in case it doesn't hit the news we are asking our supporters to help with this list.
-Feline Leukemia combo tests
-Revolution cats/kittens for both sizes
-Flea and tick shampoo for cats/kittens
-Nail clippers for cats
-Oatmeal Shampoo for cats
-Litter Tidy cat
-small cat bowls
We urgently need foster homes or adoptive homes for these beautiful exotic cats. These cats are the sweetest most affectionate and loving fur babies. It breaks our heart as we feel the person who owned these cats meant well but fell into a hoarding situation. We say this because each and everyone of these cats are so loving and affectionate beyond belief. These cats must be so frightened our hearts are bleeding.
Unfortunately, many of them have upper respiratory, skin issues, bite wounds, ear infections, eye infections, you name it. So far every cat we tested has been tested negative for serious cat diseases. Monetary donations are EXTREMELY needed ASAP as we have to care for their medical, and ultimately have them spayed and neutered.
We are hoping a veterinarian would come out to our shelter and vaccinate and fully examine them. Does anyone know a vet who is willing to volunteer there time or give us a discounted rate? We need this done right away. Please contact our office Manager Marla at: firstname.lastname@example.org or please call the shelter at: 248-200-2695 ext 9 and kindly leave a message, we will get right back with you.
We have had hoarding situations in the past, but nothing like this. Please help us help them!
***We are now asking for volunteers to help with our cat situation and the dogs as well since we are extremely overwhelmed, under staffed and we need the community to come together! To volunteer you must be 18 or over. We will respond with a date to our next orientation. These cats are super friendly, and simply want your love.
