$2,495.00 raised of $3,000.00

Kenzie was brought in Thursday night by the police. We noticed that her leg was in bad shape and that she needed to be taken to the vet right away. She immediately had surgery to repair her Mid calf femur which was fractured on her right leg.

This sweet girl was in so much pain the vet had to get her worked on right away.

Kenzie is currently on quite a few medications to comfort her pain and prevent any infections.

Cephalexin, Gabbapentain, Rymadyl, and Tramadol.  She will need to take it easy and then see the vet again in two weeks to have her stitches removed.

Updates

  • Kenzie has received many of her items from her WISH list, with more to come soon. She is such a thankful girl!!  There are still some items on her WISH list if anyone would like to give from the heart to help Kenzie feel comfortable while she awaits her furever home.

  • Hello, Everyone! It's me, Kenzie! I am a beautiful, 1 y/o, 50 pound Staffy mix. My favorite thing to do is give kisses and make new friends! I was brought to Almost Home over night by the police. My leg hurt so bad that I couldn't walk on it. The first thing Almost Home staff did when they saw me, was to rush me to their emergency vet. I know they cared about my well-being because they took me there, I recovered from a bad case of Parvo, had surgery on my leg, and got all better! I want to thank all who supported me with prayers and their finances, as Almost Home and poundwishes worked very hard at raising the money for my medical needs. It was not cheap!

Now, I'm ready to find my Furever home! The staff say I am a very sweet and friendly girl. I may do well with other dogs my size with proper introductions. I could do well in a home with kids 7+ and we're not sure how I do around cats yet. Feel free to ask the Almost Home staff about me, and they will tell you all the great things since they are with me every day!

  • Kenzie wouldn't eat, and she was getting more and more sick. We are so thankful for our vet who is taking such good care of her at the vet hospital.  Parvo is no joke!  They are nursing her back to health and we can't wait to have her back at the shelter when she is healthy again, so we can help her find a forever home.
