Lynx is one of funniest dogs you will meet. He's beyond ADORABLE with his unique ears and his happy go lucky attitude.   He is a little bit clumsy and a whole lot of love bug.  It's hard to believe that he was stuck in a shelter until we pulled him. We can't fathom how anyone could let him go!   But he was and we happily brought him into our rescue so he could get the treatment he needed for heartworm disease.  Now that hurdle is over, but he has another one.  Lynx had a few growths so we had them checked out. We thought we got lucky and that they were benign.  Unfortunately the aspirations uncovered cancerous cells so now Lynx requires surgery at minimum. His vet bills are projected to be upwards of $1500 for the combined pre-testing and upcoming surgery. For a small rescue, that's a HUGE struggle.  Even a few dollars will help us tremendously and we desperately need the help to ensure that he has a happy, healthy future so that he CAN find his forever family (although selfishly we all would love to keep him around because he's such a ray of light!).

If you can help at all, we would so appreciate it. Our rescue works hard to help the animals who need us the most.  Right now, we are unable to help any other animal with these costs looming over our heads.  Thank you for reading and thank you for helping in advance.

  • Poor Lynx. This kindhearted boy was happily out for a walk and he got attacked. His feelings are extremely hurt and he spent the night snuggled up snoring on his foster mama.  She didn't sleep but his comfort was more important.

His adorable ear got torn by a vicious dog.  It  may have been only 4 pounds but an off leash dog, no matter how small, can always be an issue.  Now Lynx is far bigger. What did he do? He stood there in shock and did NOTHING.

American Stafforshire Terrier through and through.  Stereotypes and new stories couldn't be further from the truth with this guy.  He's a DOLL!

Now thanks to all of you generous people, he will be getting his surgery on 12/7. We hope that is the last time he needs any surgery or harmful, nasty meds.

    Thank you!

  • Lynx recently visited the vet. He's lost some weight so we have increased his food intake and he is being monitored closely.  We are currently scheduling his surgery but we need to raise a bit more yet to cover the bill. We are so grateful for everyone who has donated so far!  THANK YOU!  We are working hard to raise more to reach the necessary funds for his total surgery. We have about $600 more to go!

Thank you from Lynx, his foster mom Caitlin and from our staff.

  • Lynx recently attended his foster grandpa's birthday. How cute is he?  This boy may have a hurdle to jump but he doesn't let it get him down. Thanks for the support!

  • Wow! We are at $310 towards Lynx's treatment. We can't thank you all enough. We are still a long way away from the necessary funds.  Every donation helps.  For now, Lynx is busy winning the battle of the tennis ball.  No tennis ball stands a chance!

  • Lynx and his foster mom headed out for Halloween yesterday!  Couldn't be more perfect! Football player and referee!  How CUTE are they?  It's hard to look at this picture and think that Lynx has anything wrong with him. With your help, we can soon say that he is healthy and ready to go. As of right now we have raised $150 of the $1500 needed for his care.  Thank you to those who have donated towards his cause!
