Hawaii Island Humane Society has been working on acquiring a Mobile Spay & Neuter Clinic, a vehicle that would help us eliminate pet overpopulation on our island!
Making spay and neuter both affordable and accessible means bringing down the numbers of unwanted litters in shelters and move lives saved by decreasing euthanasia.
This Mobile Spay & Neuter Clinic would make low-cost and free high-quality surgeries easily accessible to low-income owners of the more remote areas of the over 4,000 square miles of Hawaii Island. The mobile clinic purchased, outfitted and delivered will cost $200,000.
We are happy to report that we have received a $100,000 matching grant from the Laurence H. Dorcy Hawaiian Foundation! So far we have raised $30,000 in private donations.
This is amazing news, but in order to get rolling, we need your help!
If we are able to raise $100,000 by February 28, 2018, the Laurence H. Dorcy Hawaiian Foundation will match it with $100,000!
We may never have the opportunity for a matching gift like this again. If we do not hit our goal, we will not be able to launch our Mobile Spay & Neuter Clinic next year.
Will you join us in this effort by making a generous donation today?
Every dollar you donate will help us reach our goal and insure that we are able to receive the full $100,000 matching grant. Remember, only donations received prior to February 28, 2018 will qualify for the matching gift challenge.
Please, help us launch this important initiative and help us Spay. Neuter. Fix the Problem.
