$470.00 raised of $3,800.00

Jesse was pulled out of high kill shelter hours before her kill deadline. This super loving little girl is FIVE MONTHS OLD and has seen some of the worst from humans! She had been injured and in MASSIVE PAIN with a foot and lower leg ROTTING with no medical care. Then she was dumped as a "stray," which we know is a lie. For now she is resting comfortably at Knowles Animal Hospital in Miami, has been examined, given IV fluids with antibiotics and pain massive killers. The doctors said she was in excruciating pain. Procedures have been started to save her foot and leg. She will be hospitalized at least a week with expected costs of $3,800 which hopefully include the additional costs of bandages and medicine once she is out of the hospital for approximately a month.

  • UPDATE IN JESSE - still in the hospital with daily treatments on her foot/leg. Treatment is very painful and she has to be sedated daily. There is granulation appearing which is hopeful but as you can see healing has a long way to go. She has lost two toes. Daily antibiotics are required to control and kill the infection in her body. Jesse's medical staff say she is a very sweet puppy even going through the daily pain she endures. Her care is quite expensive and help is sincerely appreciated. The picture is Jesse's foot today.

  • The foot has started crystallizing for the healing. The foot is still very painful and she has to be sedated to daily treatment: she is still hospitalized and it may be another week.

  • Waiting on medical reports to come back. Her spirits are much better since pain is under control! She is a sweetheart!  More to come!
