We may never know why someone would abandon this sweet soul. She is blind in one eye and the other eye is also going dark, so malnourished she could hardly keep walking, dirty, and matted, with obvious dental issues. She was also diagnosed to be diabetic. Was it too costly for her previous owner to keep her, so abandoning her was the easier option?
Noel (which is what we named her) is now recovering at Valley Vet, and every staff member has fallen in love with her. They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and we all have seen the beauty that she shows with such love to everyone who holds her. Once strong enough her eye or at this point eyes will have to be removed, and her teeth will be removed.
I can't imagine the length of time Noel spent wandering the cold streets. How those who saw her did not recognize her dire situation by the condition of her body weight, and dirty matted coat. They had to recognize at the very least she was in trouble. Valley Vet is determined to do everything they can to help her get back on her feet and live a much better second half of her life. Her rescuer will make sure she has a good loving home. Pad For Paws is honored to stand beside them and see Noel through the multiple issues she is facing.
We will NEVER understand how someone could just abandon this poor sweet soul to fend for herself blind, unable to properly eat being diabetic in need of her daily insulin, but we hope you will help her by donating to her medical needs. Every cent counts to this sweet girl.
