***Prayers and Donations Needed Please***

Ronnie went in for a tail amputation and palate surgery yesterday, and he is having a really rough go of it.

Ronnie is a sweet 3 year old English Bulldog who needed palate surgery due to breathing issues. He is at blue Pearl under the watchful eyes of his surgeon. Unfortunately he developed aspiration pneumonia and is now on broad spectrum antibiotics and will need to spend quite a few days in the oxygen chamber. He has taken a turn for the worse as his larynx is collapsing causing difficulty breathing. He had to be intubated and the surgeon anticipates that he will need a tracheotomy in order for him to have a chance of surviving this.

So please, please send Ronnie and his foster mom any prayers, warm wishes, and good vibes you can.

Thank you for your support!!

Updates

  • ***Ronnie Update***

Ronnie is home with his foster mom!! This boy was at death's door just a few days ago. His recovery is nothing short of miraculous! Yesterday he got out of the oxygen tank and had his NG tube removed, and today he was discharged from the hospital. He will still need quite a bit of TLC but he has a great foster mom who will take the best care of him.

BHNW would like to thank his amazing vets. Dr. Robinson was Ronnie's surgeon (right) and Dr. Waldrop was Ronnie's ER intensivist (left). Thank you!!!

Please, PLEASE consider contributing to the cost of Ronnie's care.

Even though he's gone home we still have over $11,000 to pay in medical costs. Ronnie and the other high needs dogs inour care have really been draining our funds lately and we are getting desperate! We cannot do this work without your support!! All donations are tax-deductible and any amount is greatly appreciated!!

  • The surgeon decided it was too risky to do the tracheotomy, so Ronnie is currently sedated, intebated, and on a ventilator.  Please keep this boy in your thoughts and consider supporting his care costs.  Thank you!!
