Sweet baby George is only two years old! But he has a whole host of heart problems including sub-aortic stenosis, severe pulmonic valve stenosis, atrial fibrillation, and hypertrophy. Basically George's heart is not providing enough blood to the lungs and has several arrhythmia problems. Unfortunately we learned about all this after he fainted at his foster home. It was a long night in the ER for both George and his foster mom. It was also an expensive ER visit and Cardiology consult. George is now getting a cocktail of drugs to help manage his heart condition and to help him live as long and comfortably as possible. Please donate to George's medical costs. We can't keep saving these amazing dogs without your support! Thank you!!
Have you ever thought about a doggy bucket list? Final Refuge dog, George, is working on creating one. His foster mom is making sure he get's to experience life to the fullest in the time he has left. What would you add to the list?
George is just two years old, but he is sadly not adoptable due to heart failure. He's been given less than a year to live. George's heart condition is causing fluid to pool in his abdomen. Today he had a procedure to remove some of that fluid, a whole 2.5 liters!!! That's a whole 5 lbs of fluid!!! In order to keep George as comfortable as possible, this procedure will need to be repeated every few weeks.
Please consider donating to George's medical costs. Our Final Refuge program is for dogs who are too old or sick to be adopted. BHNW gives them a loving home and the best medical care for the rest of their life, but we need your support!
Please watch our Facebook and share updates about George and all of his experiences as he checks things off his bucket list!
Thank you so much for your support!!
