Peanut came to us recently with his brother, Bear, they were owner surrenders. The owner was an elderly gentleman who walked on a cane and could not care for his companion dogs any longer. They are sweet dogs, as all Labs are, and would like to get adopted together. They both have some health issues and we need help in funding to be able to take care of the issues. They are almost 10 years old and Peanut weighs 91 lbs., and Bear 97 lbs. Bear is getting treated for heart worms and a secondary infection from bad teeth and we are currently campaigning to raise $570 to help pay for his care.

Peanut was negative for heart worms but both ears are severely infected and has caused a bacterial infection throughout his body as well as he has some issues with his teeth and will need antibiotics for both conditions and teeth cleaning. If you would like to help pay for these two sweet dogs health care please consider donating today. These two wonderful dogs deserve to be healthy and have a good home together to live out the rest of their days.

  • Peanut is still having issues breathing. We are hoping that the medicine we got will begin to work and ease his breathing. His ears are still badly infected so we had to do a sensitivity and culture test that cost $65 to see just what kind of antibiotic we need to have him on to clear up this bad infection he has in both ears. Our total cost now for Peanut is $492 so please consider donating to help us with some of this expense. Peanut would love to get a home with his brother, Bear, where they can live their days out together. Both of these sweet senior dogs deserve this.

  • Peanut is still having issues with his ears and now we have discovered he has a lung issue as well. He was coughing and wheezing so we had the vet do a chest X-ray. He has a fungus in his lungs and is on an anti-fungal medicine for this. We will be doing blood test to see exactly what kind of fungus it is. We think this is the problem in his ears as well so he is getting ears rinsed daily. Please help us provide the best of care we possibly can for this wonderful Lab dog. Donations would be greatly appreciated. The anti-fungal medicine cost $200, chest x-ray $65, and blood test $60.
