Thrown in the trash with maggot infested wounds

  • Name: Alvin
  • Color: Black
  • Size: Extra Small
  • Sex: Male
  • Age: Baby

Little Alvin is only two weeks old, but he was discarded and left to die.

This little puppy was found in a garbage can with his brother, both were barely holding on. Unfortunately, his brother did not make it. Alvin was severely malnourished and needed medical care immediately. His rescuers rushed him back to the shelter so that they could properly assess and give him proper medical attention. Upon further inspection of his tiny body, they noticed he had bite wounds covering his legs and back. The wounds were deep and had created a severe infection, causing tiny maggots to fester inside.

Alvin is so young and his immune system is not fully developed to fight off these infections on his own. They are giving him all the medical attention he needs and hoping his body will be strong enough to pull through.

Please help this poor baby by donating to his medical care or purchasing an item off his wishlist. Alvin could really use some cozy blankets or puppy milk. Together, we can help Alvin recover and live the happy and full life he deserves.

Updates

  • Little Alvin's wounds are healing well and he is getting stronger every day! Unfortunately, he does have blood parasites and will need to be on medication for some time to rid his body of them. Thank you so much for all your support, please continue to donate to our tiny little man. He needs all the help he can get!
