Winnie has had such a hard life even though she's only 12 weeks. After being dumped in an empty lot with her siblings and other abused pups, we found her and we though her pain would be over.
Soon after we found out she has a heart defect and it will take open heart surgery to save her. The good news/silver lining in all of this is that it is one of the most common defects seen and diagnosed in small breed dogs. It is operable, and fixable ---- Winnie has already begun two heart medications in preparation for surgery and to hopefully help the blood flow and to shrink some of the dilation that has already occured . The initial estimate received today is $3,000 but that is a baseline and we are awaiting a written estimate based on her exam and echo from today . The total cost could change a bit .
This little girl s such a tiger ! She was barking at all of the dogs today in the office just to let them know that WINNIE IS IN THE HOUSE . The staff fell absolutely in love with her.
We are praying that she can beat this , it is still a surgery with risk, but the fact that it can be done gives us so much hope.
We so hope that our supporters will stand by us and Winnie by donating to her care or purchasing her items from her Wishlist to comfort her.
TY for always being so generous and caring .
