Help us Put This Puppy Back Together

  • Breed: Great Dane
  • Name: Lambkins
  • Sex: Male
  • Age: Baby

Lambkins is a sweet eight-week-old male great dane with a broken femur; he requires urgent surgery to repair his injury.

Lambkins littermate and mother trampled him as they were running and playing, causing this sweet angel to take a nasty tumble down a flight of stairs.

Lambkins' previous owners were unable to afford surgery and the vet had recommended euthanizing this poor baby as is was more cost effective. But OZR Great Dane Rescue couldn't let that happen to him.

Lambkins is currently in the emergency room, and has been for a few nights, because he was shaking and crying in pain. The surgery to repair his broken femur is estimated at $2,000.

Please help OZR care for this angel by donating to Lambkins or purchasing items from his wishlist that will help make him comfortable. He deserves a chance at a happy and full life.

  • Lambkins started physical therapy today!!!

  • Lambkins is doing really well. Today he got his external fixator removed. Unfortunately he isn't bending the leg as much as the surgeon would like to see. So they have recommended physical therapy starting next week. Lamby will still need donations to complete this treatment and eventually be a normal Great Dane pup. The surgeon has a very hopeful outlook for this guy and we are excited to see him thrive. Every dollar helps.

  • Lambkins received this amazing soft cone as a donation yesterday. Unfortunately, it allowed him to rip off his bandages. So, today Lambkins went for an impromptu bandage change and got his stitches removed. The orthopedic surgeon also did xrats of his leg and said it's healing beautifully and he expects to be able to remove his external fixator next week!! Overall they are very impressed with his progress and we are excited for his amazing spirit. Through all of this his Spirit has not been broken. He loves to puppy.
