is now

To better serve our animal-loving community as we move into the future, we plan to expand our offering. And in the process, we thought a name change was in order is now

"Cuddly" is how we feel about animals and it's how animals make us feel. That being said, while there are many upcoming changes, our mission remains the same. We aim to help animals around the world live better lives through innovation, community, and kindness. Thank you for being a part of our movement and, now, the family.

Rusty is a 10 week old puppy found too weak to move and clinging onto life.

Rusty was found clinging onto life by a good samaritan, who then reached out to Saving Huey Foundation. Rusty was admitted to the hospital where he is suffering from severe dehydration and emaciation. It is hard for him to even hold his head up because he is so weak. Rusty needed to have blood and fecal tests done to rule out any serious issues. Ultimately, Rusty ended up receiving two blood transfusions. Unfortunately, he is still not willing to eat. The vet suspects he may have some brain damage. It is difficult for us to understand how a 10-week-old puppy could end up in such an unfortunate condition.

Earlier this week, Rusty was released from the vet but is still very weak. He can't stand up on his own and still does no show much desire to eat. He is very cold, so his rescuers are working hard to keep him warm. His left eye appears to be severely damaged, perhaps from lack of nutrition. The next 24 hours will be very important. Please play a role in saving Rusty by donating to his medical care.

  • Rusty continues to gain strength each day. He is full of absolute love and life. His appetite is good and he is now on 3 meals a day, instead of 4. Each meal is a little larger now than it was last week. His digestive system is taking well to regular feedings, and I believe he is thriving.

Rusty's new mission is to be able to jump on the couch. His energy is tenfold what it was just a few days ago. I am thankful for the arrival of Rocket as he proven himself a great pal for Rusty. The two of them are still weak and sleep a lot, but their waking moments are filled with puppy antics.

  • Somebody replaced the old sickly Rusty with a new and improved model....

This is what fighting the good fight looks like!

  • This isn't a picture of Rusty peeing on the floor; this is a picture of Rusty trying to walk. He is so weak, but the fact that he's making the effort means so much. He gave up after less than a minute and collapsed under the table. I lifted him into his bed and he wagged his tail...he wagged his tail!! Such a little victory, but I'll take it!

Rusty is loving his bone broth and eating small amounts of chicken throughout the day. He is taking his medication as long as I hide it in his chicken. It may just be my wishful thinking, but I believe his eye is focusing more and may not be a loss as I had previously thought.

Rusty is incredibly critical right now and requiring around the clock care. I am aware that I am behind in answering messages, so please bear with me, I'm doing my best.
