is now

To better serve our animal-loving community as we move into the future, we plan to expand our offering. And in the process, we thought a name change was in order is now

"Cuddly" is how we feel about animals and it's how animals make us feel. That being said, while there are many upcoming changes, our mission remains the same. We aim to help animals around the world live better lives through innovation, community, and kindness. Thank you for being a part of our movement and, now, the family.

Thrown in a Shelter After Being dragged by a Car

  • Breed: Mix
  • Name: Duke
  • Color: Brown
  • Size: Medium
  • Sex: Male
  • Age: Adult

$3,466.00 raised of $4,000.00

It was first believed that Duke was hit by a car, but further evaluation revealed that he was continuously dragged by a car before being brought to a high kill shelter. Duke sustained multiple, serious wounds, one of which exposed his leg bone. Duke was unable to walk and increasingly lethargic; it was clear that he needed help. A gracious volunteer saved him from the high kill shelter and rushed him to the vet.

Since then, Duke has had surgery for his leg. Post-surgery, he has been receiving acupuncture, hot laser, and extensive therapy in hopes that he can one day walk again. He will remain at the vet's during this rehab, due to the extensive care he needs, including having to be physically carried outside to use the bathroom. This sweet boy is so good; he has had no accidents in his very large kennel that our vet padded with memory foam and soft blankets.

Duke is strong and the vet says he WILL walk again! After being at the vet's for a week, he tried to stand. He was successful for a moment but then fell back down. The vet techs caught him to buffer his fall, so he did not hurt himself. One day soon, Duke will walk out of that vet office, with his tail wagging, looking back to thank everyone who has helped him there.

This venture of recovery is very costly and will take Duke some time, but we will never give up on him. Duke is a fighter and is working so hard to stand again. This is our chance to help a pup in desperate need -- to give him his life back. Please consider donating to Duke's recovery and/or purchasing items off his wishlist.

  • This is Dukes Veterinary bill. It is only up to the 19th of May. We have a WONDERFUL FISTER, Betsie, who has offered to ooen her heart and home for Duke to continue to heal. He is ready to leave the Vet Hospital! This bill must be paid in full upon him leaving.  A great hardship on the rescue as you xan imagine. Please donate and please share his campaign and story. Thank you, we so appreciate you!

  • Duke is still at the vet soffice though he was released by the vet just recently. Bit we need a foster or of course an approved adopter. Our volunteer goes to see him everyday today he was surprised with treats and a big fluffy bed, bought by the poundwishes supporters off his wishlist look how appreciative he is. We still will have a huge vetbill though, we will have to pay in full when he leaves. He is getting more energetic, walking, happy, so humbled, sweet and loving.
