is now

To better serve our animal-loving community as we move into the future, we plan to expand our offering. And in the process, we thought a name change was in order is now

"Cuddly" is how we feel about animals and it's how animals make us feel. That being said, while there are many upcoming changes, our mission remains the same. We aim to help animals around the world live better lives through innovation, community, and kindness. Thank you for being a part of our movement and, now, the family.

$60.00 raised of $700.00

After running in 60 races, Benjamin was retired and found his way to our rescue.  He'd been healthy and happy and played a very special role here.  Not only did he help the new dogs adjust to retired life, he also worked as a therapy dog and shared his love to humans and canines alike.  But, now, at the age of 5 1/2, Benjamin suddenly developed a heart murmur.  The echocardiogram showed mitral valve prolapse as well as an enlargement on the right side of his heart.  At the moment, his heart is still strong and functioning well, but he will need to be monitored closely for signs of congestive heart failure and will need periodic testing of his heart function.  In addition to his heart disease, Benjamin developed some serious neck pain and imaging suggest that the pain is coming from bulging discs and creating nerve pain that travels down to his shoulders and front legs.  He is on strict crate rest to see if the disc issue will resolve itself.  If not, we will have to do additional testing and an MRI.  We are asking for donations to cover his first round of vet bills.  Benjamin will also need to stay as comfortable as possible and we have some things picked out for his Wish List.  This beautiful boy has done so much for others, please help us do as much as we can for him.

  • Benjamin has worked as a therapy dog before he became ill.  He so misses the attention from all the wonderful people that he used to visit.  When he's feeling okay, we take him to meet and greets so that he can interact with people.
