is now

To better serve our animal-loving community as we move into the future, we plan to expand our offering. And in the process, we thought a name change was in order is now

"Cuddly" is how we feel about animals and it's how animals make us feel. That being said, while there are many upcoming changes, our mission remains the same. We aim to help animals around the world live better lives through innovation, community, and kindness. Thank you for being a part of our movement and, now, the family.

Attacked by dog resulting in severe injuries

$5,020.00 raised of $5,000.00

Meet Bear, the newest and sweetest three-month-old bully rescued by BBR. Now, they desperately need help raising money for this puppy's surgery.

Unfortunately, Bear was attacked by another dog (before entering their care), resulting in severe injuries, leaving him unable to use his front legs to walk. His front right leg is shattered, and three bones are completely broken. His front left leg is unusable due to a luxating elbow which needs to be replaced and put in a splint. His back right leg is swollen, as well, which they just noticed and needs to be X-rayed. Due to his severe injuries, Bear requires pain medication as well as antibiotics to prevent infection from the wounds on his legs.

The estimate for his total care, including surgery, is between $10,000-$12,000. This includes overnight stays at the vet specialist, multiple medications, x-rays, multiple surgeries, other potential procedures, and after care. You can be the difference in this tiny pup's life by donating to his care.

  • Bear wanted to say thank you to everyone that has kindly donated items from his wishlist! He's such a happy little boy, loving his toys and treats! The wee wee pads have been a huge help along with the supplements for his joints and bones.

  • First off - thank you to everyone that has donated towards Baby Bear's care and/or wish list items! We are so touched by the generosity!

Bear is doing well. He is home in foster with our President, Heidi, receiving daily physical therapy and has scheduled follow ups with a specialist. This strong little guy has made incredible strides. We know he has a long road ahead of him, but the progress he has made in just under a month since rescue is amazing. He can stand and he walks, not for long, but he goes in spurts and its so heartwarming to watch! There is a possibility for surgery down the road, because of course he is only 4 months old and his bones are still growing. We are not sure how the breaks that occurred will affect this.

Please consider a donation of any amount to help us with the continuing care of this little guy! We will post more updates soon!

  • We are still waiting on the cytology results, but the swelling in his back leg has gone down. Due to infection, surgery is not possible, and we do not believe it will be an option due to the lapse of time. Bear is looking at a few more weeks of healing and intensive physical therapy. Bear has been under 24 hour medical care at the veterinary hospital since he has been with us this past week and will be for at least the next few days, with antibiotics, pain medication, and sedation, costing around $1,000 a night. Not including other treatments required.

If you are able to donate, Bear would be forever grateful!
