Picture Perfect Puppy
She was only four weeks old when this endearing American Eskimo dog/Chihuahua mix earned her regal name: Princess. Surrendered to us by a woman unable to afford her care, poor Princess was suffering from a prolapsed rectum. Although our vet successfully "tucked everything" back in, the condition had already existed for a week, raising the possibility of some dead or dying tissue.
Princess was fighting for her life, but thanks to the heroic efforts of Utah Valley Animal Rescue, she is now happy, healthy, and ready for a loving home. This sweet girl had her 15 minutes of fame while being featured on Good 4 Utah Midday!
She is fondly described by her foster mom as a "50 pound dog in a 5 pound body", this winter white blend of large and small breeds ADORES people, attaching herself to them like puppy velcro. Bright and confident, pert and pretty, Princess plays well with other dogs and cats, sleeps soundly in her crate, and is working diligently on her housetraining. Separated early from her own doggy mama due to health issues (now resolved), this lively lovely has been learning life's lessons from loving people instead. Now, at a mere 9 weeks of age, she's more than ready for a nurturing and knowledgeable forever home with another dog for guidance and companionship.
